These are pictures of Cora & Olivia on their first day of swim class. They have been taking classes now for 2 weeks, Cora is in the "starfish" class and Olivia is taking the parent/tot class with me. I arranged to take the classes at the same time so that we make one trip and nobody gets bored. Olivia just loves the water, she splashes and kicks, and will even try to step/jump into the water to me. Cora has been having a great time, she has class in a 2 foot deep pool and occasionally comes over to the big pool where Olivia and I are. Cora went underwater with her teacher, Ed, once, but wasn't too crazy about that. She's really good about not getting upset if she goes under accidentally. Last weekend the girls and I went swimming in the Westrick's pool and Cora tried water wings for the first time. She could swim across the jacuzzi area all by herself when she had them on.
Olivia has been doing some pretty cute things. She likes to dance, she turns around and around in circles until she's dizzy! She's very fast these days and getting into a lot of things too. Any chance she gets she likes to sit in chairs, which usually means she ends up climbing and standing on the chair (yikes!) then turning around to face outward before she sits down. She loves to play in the sand box and doesn't eat the sand as much as she used to. If you mention the word "bath" she turns and runs squealing with glee to the bathroom and will try her best to climb into the tub while you fill it up. She also loves to go outside, and will try to put her shoes on when she wants to go outside sometimes.
